Made the desision!

  December 20th 2009 I finally made the desision to have WLS! I think I had just always been in denile that I  was big enough to do something that drastic. I figured I put on the weight I could take it off. Year by year every birthday wish was that the next year I would do it!!! I would loose weight and be thinner/healthier/happier!!! Now that the big 30 is approaching  and I look in the mirror and don't recognize the person I see it is time!! Now that the size 28 jeans are getting snug and I can hardly walk up the stairs in my home and not be out of breath it is time!!

  I have heard recomendations of a Dr. in Concord, NC. SO I called up and then went online and started filling out paperwork! I then called my insurance to see if I did have any Bariatric benifits and praise GOD I do!!! I had my first appt. with my PCP yesterday 12/23 and told her the news. SHe was supportive but also warned me about several of her patients who have had WLS and are now climbing there weight back up slowly. Also about how it doesn't fix the emotional part of things. I know I will HAVE to change y life/lifestyle forever and I am willing and ready to tackle it head on!!! I have my Psych eval on 1/13 and am very curious as to what that entails!!! ThenI already have my Nutrition consult on 1/15. I am moving forward and hopeing and praying everything will proceed in a timely manner.
