Zone Perfect Bars

"I have tried MANY other protein bars and have never found one that had a decent taste to it, or at least one that didn't leave a nasty taste in my mouth. WOW! When I tasted this bar it had me wanting MORE!! The Nutrition facts are as follows: Calories: 210 Fat Cal. 60 Total Fat 7g Saturaged Fat 1.5g Cholesterol 0mg Sodium 280mg Potassium 85mg Total Carb. 21g Dietary Fiber Less than 1g Sugars 12g Protein 16g AWESOME bars. But the one I liked best out of them were the FUDGE GRAHAM bars!"

Amy J Koler

"On 6/9/02 I went to the seminar to find out about bariatric surgery. I found this seminar very informative. Dr. Weinke from the WISH Center is the doctor who spoke at this seminar. My mother and my daughter were with me that day and my mother was asking a TON of questions. I think it is very important to ask if you want to know and am a firm believer in, the only "dumb" question is the one that is never asked!!! My first meeting with the WISH Center staff was on 6/25/02. At that time I had to view a video, meet with a nurses assistant, dietician, psycologist, exercise physiologist, and I was supposed to meet with Dr. Salvino, but since he was tied up in surgery I will be having Amy Koler as my surgeon and she will be assisted by Dr. Weinke. Amy was VERY through in explaing to me what I needed to achieve in order to have this surgery. I went to my first session MORE than prepared. I made sure I had all my medical information from both my PCP and my OB/GYN. Both of them were wonderful in getting me my information to me in a timely matter and have truly been working with me on this since the beginning when I first decided to go through this. In meeting with everyone on 6/25/02 I found that the program provided a great overview as to what it will take to make it through this successfully. On 6/26/02 I started my preliminary dieting and exercising. I since have found out I've got moderate to severe sleep apnea!! (UGH!!!). Needless to say I don't like sleeping with that machine on so this surgery will surely help that situation! I found out that in my case there is more of a risk for me to NOT have the surgery then there will be for going through it. Am I nervous? A little, but I'm more eager to know that the many diets I've tried and the amount of times I've been unsuccessful at those diets will finally be paying themselves off. God Bless anyone who has made the decision to change their lives so drastically and if I can be of any support for you during your decision making please feel free to contact me! Best of luck! 8/7/02 -- Yesterday I went to my pre-op session. I found out I lost 11 pounds on my own with the "practice diet" they gave me and I am feeling good about that. I met with Amy again and several of the other staff members. I was given instructions as to what I need to do the day before surgery as well as what I will need to do after surgery in order to make this surgery a success."

Macaroni & Cheese

"At first I wasn't sure if I could have this because of the "macaroni", but I found out that Kraft is using more "low fat" and reducing a lot of the sodium and other various contents that make having it for bariatric patients easier. My doctor's office said I could have this as long as the protein content was good. Well in 2.5 oz of this product comes 11 grams of protein. So in just a little over a 1/4 cup of this (4 tablespoons) is 11 grams fo what we need most! To top that off there is only 2.5 grams of fat!!"

Good Samaritan Hospital

"Excellent staff, rooms were well equipped with materials I would need for the type of surgery I was having and in general the whole staff was VERY supportive of me and my accomplishments."
