"My only concern (back in 1999 when I had this surgery) was that the nursing staff had NO IDEA about pain medications for WLS patients. They gave me the wrong stuff TWICE and insisted I take it; making me incredibly ill for several hours. Now in 2007 I'm confident that they have been more properly educated into what a WLS patient can take in terms of oral medications and pain management."
