Well I had my colonoscopy and the i.v. wasn't that bad even if they did have to stick me twice to get a line in (yuk) but the worst was my colon was not completely clear........eeewwwww.
Still I got the all clear from the doctor, I dont believe he thought I had fasted and kept to a liguid diet because he asked my husband if indeed I had been following the instruction he had given me, however he did tell my husband that since I had some poop left in my colon the next time I have one I should use a laxative for both days that I'm on a liquid diet. 
So for those of you that maybe like me and have infrequent bowel movements you might want to cleanse yourself really good.

Today is the day before one of the last things to do and its a test of will.
Yup, the dreaded colonoscopy, I haven't eaten in 2 day and you can only stomach so much ginger ale and chicken broth, but I am doing good and my husband is fixing his own suppers so I don't accidently sample what I fix.

I am dreading the i.v. but i'll live and get over it I'm a big girl hehehehe!

I have a surgery date of Jan 17th 2008. I have done almost every pre-op thing but still have to get my colonoscopy done on the 4th. Had the upper endoscopy done and the worst thing about that was getting an i.v. put in as they just weird me out. Went shopping after no probs came home slept for about 2 hours and felt great.
Well my husband finally asked me why I am doing this, not realising he asked because he is scared of losing me (in a morbid way) I told him I'm fed up being fat, and want to be able to wear nicer clothes and find clothes on sale that fit!!
My daughters are supportive, but one is worried I'll be thinner than her me thinks.
