This weekend was the 4th of july and normaly for me to have fun and let loose I would have to have a few drinks in me. Since I have been banded I just chose not to drink. I feel it is a lot of calories for just a drink and it is not worth it. Anyways I went to my friends party and all types of people thier. I normally just stay at the food table in the corner. This time I noticed that I was up mingling ( sp ?) I had such a great time and never once did I think "I am the bigest person here. I was a great feeling.
I love all these changes. LIFE IS GOOD

I went for my doctor apt todat and Dr Malley is just a pleased with me as I am. Things are just good good good. I am down 62 pounds and for the first time I feel like that it is gone for good. Dr Malley is so good! I feel like I made him proud. I did get a fill today of .5cc so if I am counting right I did have 3.75 and now should be 4.25.
My husband is running around the house drooling. He tells me that he loves me no matter what, but now I have such a girly figure that he cant help it! LOL I love it! We will have our 6th year annv. On the 15th. He makes being married easy.

My last doctor appt went well. I didnt get another fill. I am lossing a little to fast, and it took me about 1 week and 4 days to really get used to the restriction and I so didnt want to start that all over again. I am filled to 3.75 cc in my 10 cc band. Doctor said that I could schedule a fill if I feel that I need one. As long as I am still losing I am fine. I cant say for sure but I feel like I am just were I need to be with my band. loosing about 2 pounds a week and still able to eat ok.
One thing that I didnt know about till it happend to me was my band tightened when I started my cycle. something about swelling. I asked the doctor about it and he stated that a lot of his "younger" people complain about the band tighten up when starting the cycle. I do bloat up pretty good amount so I guess that makes sence.
All in all I am loving my band. All the things I have given up is so worth all the things I can now do. I am loving life!!!

How to break a plateau
#1 - Do this for 10 days to break a plateau
#2 - Drink 2 quarts of water a day
#3 - You must have 45 grams of protein supplement and all your vitamins/minerals supplements each day
#4 - You may consume up to 3 oz of the following high protein foods, 5x a day
beef
pork
chicken
turkey
lamb
fish
eggs
low fat cheese
cottage cheese
plain yogurt or artificially sweetened (?)
peanut butter
beans/legumes
You may also have:
sugar free popsicles
tea or coffee
sugar free soda
sugar free jello
broths/bullion (sp?)
crystal light drinks
#5 - If it's not on the list, you can't have it for 10 days!!!!
#6 - Keep a food diary and try to get up to 30 mins of exercise daily
2nd Fill

First off the Doctor was pleased with my weight loss so far. Since the 14th I have lost 10 pounds! yeah for me!. So he went ahead and gave me a fill because I told him that I can eat a good amount now.
My mother in law and Grandmother in law is in Town visiting from MN. Grandma wanted to have dinner at this place called Rib Crib. It was her birthday. I have been able to get liquids down so I thought that a cup of chili would be ok ( it is really soupy ) but I think I jumped the gun a bit. after a few bites I was miserable for the rest of the evening and though out the night.
Today so far I am keeping down the protien shake but I am scared to do much more.
Will update more later.
