I now have a surgery date!

Today is April 29, 2010 and I received the call from my surgeon's office that my insurance company has approved my RNY surgery. We scheduled my surgery for July 6, 2010. I am so excited, but scared all at the same time.
It's hard to believe this is really going to happen! I went to my surgeon's information seminar on Sept 11, 2009 and from there called my insurance company to find out I had to do a six month diet in order for them to even approve this surgery. I started my diet the end of Sept 2009. So it will be roughly ten months from the time I started this journey until I have the surgery. So I have had alto of time to think about all of this. I also have the added advantage to have three people in my life who have also had this surgery. My Step Dad has RNY in Dec. 2007, my brother had RNY the summer of 2008, and my Mom had RNY June 2009. So I have seen first hand what they have been through and how they live their lives today.
I am so ready to start my new healthier life!!!
