One month into the new and improved me!

Feb 22, 2009

It's hard to believe it's been one month since my surgery but here I am feeling and looking great.  I've lost 30 pounds since the day of my surgery and I'm super excited for the new path my life is taking.

There's a point in every ones life that you realize that you have to do something for yourself from time to time and not always do everything for everyone else.  It's my time to shine and be the best me I can be.  I'm very thankful for my supportive friends and family along with the great support I received from my surgeon and his staff at Hope Bariatrics.

I know this is only the beginning but I'm looking forward to what's to come for me.  Having the gastric bypass surgery was an opportunity that I'm very thankful for.  At 35 I have severe sleep apnea, high blood pressure, extreme fatigue and joint pain.  I want to live and long and healthy life and this is going to allow me to do that.  I have no regrets and would encourage anyone who's thinking about this surgery to research it as much as possible and talk to the thousands of people who've had it done.

I less than 4 weeks I'm back to work and living my life... how exciting!!!!
