I see you not upon the shelf.

I know not of your power and wealth.

            There’s so much dust that your name I cannot see.

I think, “what’s the point”, you’re not for me.

            I go about my daily life

I live in turmoil, pain and strife.

            I have no time to read your story,

I know not of your grace and glory.

            Then one day the trumpet did sound.

All those I knew were no longer around.

            I run, I cry, in vain I seek.

I am alone. I sit sad and weak.

            My pleas now fall upon a deaf ear.

Now I exist with death and fear.

            Someone screams, voices cry.

I shout to the Heavens “why oh why?!”

            Why did you leave me here?

I do not deserve this death and fear.

            Suddenly, the sky grew bright. 

I am blinded by Your wondrous light.

            I heard you call upon my name.

I stand in judgment. I feel the shame.

            I said, ”why did you leave me here upon this day?”

You answered simply “ You did not walk my way.”

            You refused read my story,

Therefore, you do not deserve to live in glory.

            Then I awoke with tears and fright.

I knew I had to seek your light.

            Now my heart does hold your story.

My direction to truth and glory.

            The dust upon you will no longer be

For You have given Your grace and glory to me.
