Well, this is my story. I have been overweight most of my life. I am 36 with two sons. I do have a good life but hate the way I feel, emotionally and physically. I also hate getting my picture taken, hopefully, that will change. It is hard to be the fat sister, with two thin & beautiful sisters. After much thought and consideration, I have made a final decision to have lap band surgery. I hope to use Dr. Van Wagner. I have done much research on him and have already been to his seminar, a year ago. I need to go to another seminar, since it has been so long. I hope everything goes smoothly.
January 25, 2007- Got a call from my New Start program girl, Coralie, letting me know that my insurance will cover this surgery 100%. I am anxious to get the ball rolling but understand it could take a while. Have to go to another seminar on the 30th, get my doctor's okay, and do my psychological assessment. Hopefully, it will run smoothly. I would love to have some friends here on this site for advice and support. I have learned so much reading everyone's stories.
