 I had my fourth appointment yesterday, and finally got a date for my vertical sleeve surgery!!  October 17th.  It has been 6 months of non-stop appointments, tests and clearances, and I'm so excited to have come to this point!  Thus far I've been a little too lenient with myself and what I've been eating; I put on 15 pounds between my initial appointment in March and now (August).  The surgeon wants me to take off 10 of those pounds before the pre-op liquid fast, which will last two weeks.  I know I can do this.  I just need to put my mind to it and be accountable to as many people & websites as I can, lol.  So I commit now to sticking to the pre-op diet as best as I can!   This weekend I'm relaxing, then on Monday I start making appointments again.  Things I have coming up:   -appointment with coordinator & psychiatrist -appointment with vascular surgeon -lose 10 pounds -next appointment with surgeon: sept 30 -venous doppler -IVC filter placement -SURGERY!   I am going to start building up a little stockpile of things I'll need after surgery, so if anyone is reading this and has any ideas, please let me know!
