3 weeks post op

Sep 01, 2014

Well so far I have no regrets about the surgery. I do have complaints, Small stuff not to sweat about like constipation. Omg what a horrible feeling it is not to go poop and secondly I dont like the way the protein shakes taste or smell. The constipation from what my doctor said is normal and will correct itself. He said the standard colace, milk of magnesium, benefiber, or miralax to help that situation out. As far the protein goes I will finish the protein shakes that I have already bought. Not gonna waste money but im on the serch for a unflavored protein. So far ive found Isopure zero unflavored protein, which has a lot of positive reviews but if anyones tried other brands or has suggestions. Im all ears. At my 2 week post op appointment I was down 16 lbs. I am just walking for exercise now but will be back in the gym within the next week. My energy level is still low from the surgery so walking will have to do. Last complaint which is also pretty standard is the trouble I have getting down all my liquids. Gotta really set my goals for that especially with the constipation. Gonna be my own personal drill sergeant and get water in my body. Wishing everone the best.

post op now. yay!!

First off I have to give a big thanks to god!  The surgery went off without any issues. Waking up from the sugery was the worst, but only because I was so cold. For the most part I was really just feeling sore. Getting out of bed or adjusting my self was very challanging. Once I started moving around the less trouble it seemed. I was able to eat ice chips tight away and I enjoyed the wayer down apple juice. But I had to sip very very small amounts of the liquid, like seriously barely putting like 1 ice chip at a time. I slept most of yesterday andthis morning/afternoon. Felt well enough to take a shower and now just waiting to get discharged and home to my kids. To everbody who wished me well. Thank you so much!! For all the others who also had surgery this weekend I hope everything went good. Looking forward to sharing my experience with other now!  I
