Still Jittery!

Sep 25, 2009

So I am at work right now, waiting on my patients to get here to start their sleep studies. I am still quite nervous about the surgery for some reason. I hate this feeling cause I know deep down inside that this is the best thing for me. I am thinking this is all from me being one of those people that like to know the outcome and not have any other expectations really, I just have to know, know, know! Ask my close family and friends, I am the planner of the group, I like to make itenararies of what is going to take place at what time. With this surgery I guess I feel that I don't have control over that, all I have control of is the food I eat and the vitamins I take, and not knowing how quick or slow the weight will come off, and what will my body look like? I have never really been skinny since a small part of my last part of my senior year in highschool, so I'm just I dunno!!! I'm going to drive myself insane though if I don't calm down. When I get like this I tend to get emotional and all teary eyed a lotttttt....yeah no fun, really.

Other than that here are some things I have began to do prior to my surgery:
1. I'm down to less than one soda a day(which I just started this technically yesterday) I had 1/2 of a 20 oz. . Winging myself from caffeine doesn't seem that bad today, but I am sure later tonight while at work I am gonna have to sip on that other part of the soda, due to my huge huge huge caffeine headaches I get.
2. I have been taking vitamins everyday. I'm trying to take all the ones I have at home right now cause I won't really be able to take them after the surgery for a month or so.
3. I have also began the "Waiting for my drink phase" 15 minutes before meals and 30 minutes after meals (Who woulda known I would actually be able to accomplish that one??? I'm always drinking water or tea or a diet soda with my meals).
4. I have gotten stocked up on a months supply on my multi-vitamins, Iron pillso, B-complex 50, B-12 pills, and Calcium Citrate pills. Some of them I will have to grind up and run into my protein shakes or something since I wasn't able to find a decent priced chewable one.
5. I have my broths and meals somewhat lined up for the 2 week liquid diet and the 2 week soft food diet. Plus the protein.

So with all that I feel I'm almost prepared. I just need to get a journal or something on here ready to start calculating my intakes for each day. I have a Alli profile, I might just use that one, I dunno. Anyone else know where I can get a free site that offers a journal/calculation of intakes?

Well I am outta here!
