I have a surgery date!!!!

Yesterday I met with Dr. Khayat. My husband and I really like him!! He even said I was in great health and young enough that he thought this surgery was a great idea and he can't wait to see all the changes in me and how happy I will be!! As for Dr.Khayat saying I was "young" I told him he was "my new best friend" and my hubby asked "where is your seeing eye dog"... All in fun, all in fun...Dr. Khayat even laughed at all my hubby's jokes!!!
So he said "how soon would you like your surgery. I have a cancellation for this Friday the 20Th". Unfortunately I had to say no to tomorrow but his nurse called me first thing this morning and my surgery is scheduled for Friday February 10Th!!! That's in 3 weeks!!! I am so excited!!!
Thank you all again for all your encouragement!! I have to tell you I thought this would take FOREVER...However you were all correct it flew by fast!!!!

I just got the phone call from the surgeons office. My Doctor will be Dr. Fawzi Khayat and I meet with him next week Wed, January 18Th!!! Wow all of you were right the classes flew by and now it's getting real.
Since we graduated from the options class we now get to go to the support meetings. My first one is tonight!! I hear we learn a lot in these classes too!!!
I am so mentally ready for this!!!

So hard to believe tomorrow is my last options class. I have not lost the 10% weight but everyone has told me not to worry!! I hope they are right!!!

Wow!!! The options classes went by really fast. We only have 1 class left and if it wasn't for the holidays we would be done next week....I graduate Jan. 5... Then I see the surgeon within 10 days and now the wait for surgery is on around 7 weeks!!! Whoopee!!!
I have lost 13 pounds and down 1 size!!! I feel better but looking forward to feeling GREAT!!!

For some reason I have been craving sugary things everyday!!! I try so hard to stay away from them too...How am I ever going to lose the 10% weight that Kaiser options class is insisting we lose??? Ggrrrrr this is so hard!! Even though I am a nurse I make cakes as a side job and I have to taste the frosting to make sure it is what the customer wants!! This weekend it is a 3 tier wedding cake..I would ask my husband but he can't have sweet either!!! So frustrating!!!
I will figure it all out!! I always do...My health is more important than frosting..Lol..
Just needed to vent a little!!!

Went to first options class

So yesterday I went to the first of my twelve week options classes at Kaiser. I was so excited to start....Then we got hit with because of holidays we wouldn't finish until Jan. 5, 2012...That was a bummer but hey that means I get some days off work too..Lol..
The dietitian and RN did not come to the class(not sure why). We only had the LSW(social worker). We received our homework that we will have to do everyday for the time we are doing these classes... I hate homework!!! The LSW said at the end of this it will be our Thesis on ourselves for the Surgeon!! So I must start this now!!! yuck!!! At least my wonderful hubby(the cook) said it will be easy!!! I love him!!!
Everyone said now it will go by fast!!! I sure hope so!!!

Yay!!! I just heard from Kaiser and I start my 12 week Options/Bariatric Surgery Classes next week Sept. 22...I am so ready to get this started!!!

Being able to tuck in my top!!

I know this might sound silly but here it goes!!! After looking at a lot and I mean a lot of before and after pictures I think the one thing I am most looking forward to(as of today) is being able to tuck in my top/shirt into a pair of jeans and wear a belt!!! I think it is such a cute look and not in a million year would I wear that look now!!!

Uuuggg...I know my orientation class at Kaiser was not even a week agao but I want to get this started and the wait is really bugging me!!! I want to get these 12 week classes going and set my surgery date!!!

So today I bought a size large sundress..My hubby saw it and said go ahead and get it..Then he said it's a top right? I said nope it's a little sundress and by next summer I plan on wearing it!!! I can't wait!!!
