Had a Lap-Band in the Summer of 2008. Did well with decent weight loss for about 18 months then began to have significant issues with difficulty eating, vomiting and finally some slippage of the Lap-Band ultimately requiring removal in July 2011. I am currently awaiting approval from my insurance company for planned revision to RNY.
Woo hoo! I received insurance approval a few days ago and I am scheduled for revision to RNY on 10/13/11!
