Hi,

I'm 35 about 5'3 and live in South Florida. I've always been a little heavy maybe a size 11/12 at best. However I've slowly been putting on weight and keeping it! My heaviest was 274 and a size 18/20 bottoms and 22/24 top (I happen to be big breasted). I have an 8 year old daughter, 2 step kids and a husband who is also over weight and has a laundry list of health issues. I thank God that I don't have any of the health issues other than being fat. I guess I never really paid too much attention to myself because I was always worried about everyone else. My husband always has a health issue going on, my step son has sport injuries the girls get sick (cold/flu, stomach bugs) so I never really have time to focus on my own issues.

Well business was slow, money got really tight and with all of our health stuff I started focusing on finding a job that had good affordable health coverage
(which we absolutely need). So I recently obtained a job with the State and although the pay sucks the benefits are awesome. After being here awhile and discovering all the perks, I'm doing a total overhaul! lol My aunt said I'm going through an early mid life crisis lol but thats ok cause its all to better myself. I went back to school to finish that AA I was so close to, I went to the orthodontist to straighten and close some gaps in my teeth, and lastly I consulted a bariatric surgeon about a gastric sleeve. Happily, so far all are going well :)

I should be done with the AA in the fall and hopefully looking to transfer to continue to my BA. I am already in process with my Invisalign. And I had my surgery May 29th, 2014.

My weight on the day of consult was 270. After the two week liquid diet on day of surgery I was 257 and now I am 247. I've been stuck here for a couple weeks despite starting to walk 45 mins a day.

Well thats my history, now on to the future.....
