Surgery is scheduled

Finally, I received a surgery date - June 11 - and am now on a liquid diet for 2 weeks. I am very surprised how easy it has been to stay on. It must be the protein powder that fills me up so well.
At one point yesterday, I thought - well maybe I don't need surgery - I can just be on this diet until I lose the weight I want. Thankfully, I was restored to sanity. If I could stay on that kind of diet, I wouldn't be where I am today
I am trying to use this time to get my kitchen ready for my new regimen and stocking up on tv dinners for my husband! And I have to admit, I am looking at clothes in smaller sizes (not to buy, just to dream). I am 63 and have been wanting this surgery for so long, but my old insurance company wouldn't cover it. When we retired and moved to Arizona, my husband found a job with insurance that will cover it, so look out Lizzie, here I come.
I hope to have some pictures posted before too long
