Amy made me do it!!! LOL
Feb 28, 2007
I'm posting a current update finally. I am 14 months out and I currently weigh 188 lbs. I am feeling elated! I can't begin to describe how much my life has changed. I just found out that my 10 yr reunion will be on April 14th, so I'm really excited about attending. I weigh at least 60 lbs less than I did at my HS graduation. I wonder if many people can say the same..lol.
I've been getting some funny comments lately that I just had to share. A lot of people have been asking me how my husband is liking the "new me". I tell them that it's been great. I think they don't believe me. Some of our friends have even gone so far as to ask if DH misses me being large. I have to laugh at that. My hubby has just gotten out of the Army (so he's pretty fit) and has looked like a stick next to me for the past 7 years of our marriage. Now we weigh 18 lbs apart. (I'm still larger but I'm closing in on him!) If anything, our marriage has gotten better. He loves my new attitude and self confidence. Now, don't get me wrong.... I'm no supermodel...... but I think I'm looking pretty good these days...lol. I love not having to buy clothes in plus sizes anymore (I'm a 16/18 but that is the XL size in the "normal" area). It's a dream come true for a former 30/32. So to answer everyone-- I feel like we are newlyweds again..... just now we have a toddler in the picture...lol.

As far as my looks....lol. I'm in a 20/22 shirt and am wearing very baggy 24's. NO MORE LANE BRYANT----I can use Wal Mart now......lol... But I DO like LB for the sexy outfits....heh heh. I think the major change is my face, especially with the short hair cut (which has grown out for about 6 weeks now). I did it because I was afraid of the hair loss.
