"First impression of him was WOW!! Very informed Surgeon - this is his Specialty - has been doing it for 20 years...Love his dry sense of humor. His staff is very supportive!! KIM is WONDERFUL!! They are all very compassionate! Effie has had the surgery. While there is a rapid increase of individuals having WLS, Dr. Maquire still maintains only 5 surgery's a week...so waiting could be up to 6 months...but I would rather wait than be herd through like an assembly line. Aftercare is very important to him....after your first year post-op...he just doesn't cut you lose - he wants to see you a minimum of once a year then!! Has a very active support group that welcome's pre-ops. During his mandatory seminar he discussed the two surgeries that he performs and the risks with both!! I would recommend him to anyone considering this surgery!!"
