I forgot today was my 9 year anniversary of WLS

Jul 23, 2012

I have to say taking off 100 lbs and keeping it off for 9 years has been one of biggest blessings in my life. interestingly enough I have been "coasting" and now I am finally ready to kick into my final phase ( after 9 years) and take off the final 50 lbs. I have lost 6 so far. Yeah!!!!

I have never regretted for a minute my decision to have surgery. So what have I done in the last 9 years that I would NOT have done if I was 100 lbs heavier??? Just about everything but here are a few: Go to Maui, zip line, raft the Animas River, Ice skate with my daughter, shop in the "normal" women's department of the department store, demand more from my relationships and myself, start a new business, go on a cruise, go to New York, live my life to the fullest as best I can.

I know there is much more that I have done in the last 9 years but these are a few of the highlights.

I would be interested in hearing from anyone who was a "coaster" kinda like me. I was just so happy not have to think about food all the time I just wasn't as driven to finish the job. But I am ready NOW and I am happily and joyfully on my way to yet another phase of this fabulous journey I call LIFE!!!!
