The corner of my incision has finally scabbed over so I'm very hopeful that episode is done with.  I finished the course of antibotics on Monday and I haven't run any fevers and the redness/oozing stopped late last week.  Yay.
This morning I weighed in at 230 pounds.  That makes a loss of 12 pounds since surgery (3 pounds a week, not to shabby) and 29 pounds since the pre op diet!  Yay!!!  I feel like I'm really getting somewhere now!
I have a check back for the infection with Dr. Srikanth on Monday and I'm wondering if that is too soon to get a fill or if he'll want me to wait another week.  Guess I should call and ask because I know he requires clear liquids before the fill.

Over the weekend I noticed the the left corner of my port incision was begininng to open up.  Not the whole incisions, just about a 1/4 of an inch in the corner.  By Monday morning it was oozing yuck and I called the surgeon.  He got me in right away.  My tempature was great and there was no odor coming from the wound.  However, the doctor did say it was looking as if it was infected and he didn't want to take any chances so he prescribed penicllin for the next week.  I made an appointment to follow up with him in two weeks.  My only complaint about the appointment is that he really had to feel around and for the rest of the day and the next morning my port sight was very sore.  Things are feeling much better today.
