I have seriously considered weight loss surgery for quite sometime. I reached my high in 11/07 of 326 lbs. I've tried weightwatchers and several other diets with some success only to regain what I had lost and more. I had my vsg in on
12/30/08. I had lost 30 lbs pre op and have lost an additional 27 lbs post op. I am now off all bp and diabetic meds. I
was self pay because my insurance would cover lap band or rny only. I did alot of research and decided this was the
surgery that I wanted, and so far everything has gone very well.
My surgery was done at St Elizabeths hospital. They have an excellent staff. I was very pleased with the attention I
received. My surgeon was Dr. Hargroder. He did an excellent job. I never had any pain. I went on a cruise three wks
later and felt as if I had never had surgery. I feel better than I have in 10 years.
I have a husband and three children. I want to regain my life. I feel like I finally have the tool to make that a reality.
I have to make this work for myself and my family.
