In 2008 I had the gastric band put in. I lost a total of 40lbs. Four yrs later I was still at only 40lbs total loss. Then I began to gain 20 of those 40 back. I was devestated. So I decided to go more drastic and get the sleeve done. On 7/30/12 I had my gastic sleeve surgery. I am currenly about to be 3 months post op and so far I have 38lbs total loss. My goal is to lose 150 total, and this time I am not quitting until I get there. I am monitoring everthing! My protein intake, my carbs, my exercise, my calories and my fluids. I am doing all this to get control of my health. I am diabetic, hypothyriod, and hypertentive. Since my surgery I am no longer on diabeties meds nor blood pressure meds... Just the thyriod ones. I pray God is on my side.
