I am a post RNY patient 3 years post op now. I have had 5 abdominal surgeries and developed really bad scar tissue because of this. I currently have Health Plan of Michigan(medicaid). I went to a Plastic Surgeon in December and was denied. On March 22, I got a call from the insurance company letting me know that they took a second look at my request and decided to cover a Full Tummy Tuck and Breast Reducion/Lift!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited! I have my TT surgery on May 8, and when I begin to heal from that they will schedule the breast surgery. I am one of the lucky RNY patients that didn't get any loose skin/cellulite, just a lot of scar tissue/stretch marks and bad scar tissue in my abdomen and my breasts are saggy. I think after I have my surgery I am going to look like I was never overweight. How exciting is that! God is good.....
