"I went to a seminar with Dr McKinley and scheduled my pre-op appointment. Upon questioning him though, I found out he has only done about 30 sleeves and uses a 46F bougie. I would strongly urge people to consider these facts before you commit to him. I know he is a great surgeon with experience in many other surgeries. But if you go for the sleeve, you want one who is experienced in that (no less than 300 sleeves to lessen the risk of complications). And a 46F bougie? He is using that based on dated studies that say it matters not what size bougie you use, weight loss is the same. He forgets that maintenance is near impossible with a 46F."
