I'm 25 and a surgical technologist. I'm in the OR everyday setting up for and assisting with all kinds of surgeries. I'm a little freaked out to go on the other side of the table, but I'm sure this will pass. I live with my wonderful boyfriend who supports me in everything that I do. Who loves me unconditionally. He has told me I could be 500lbs or shrink to 3 inches tall and he would still love me.
I've actually gotten to assist on bariatric surgeries before. RNY, Lap Band and the Sleeve. I did a lot of research in choosing Dr. Snyder and he is by far the best I have met in the business. I will be having surgery in January!
This has been an uphill battle getting to this point and I'm excited and scared to get on with the next part. I know it's lame to feel nervous or scared to have surgery when I help perform as many as 4-5 surgeries a day. I don't know why this irrational fear is plaguing me, but it is.
Anyway, I'm excited about the benefits of surgery. No more hypertension or heartburn or sleep apnea! One of the more physical reasons I am excited is I really want to look great in a wedding dress hopefully in a year or so! Lol
