Had 2 appointments at Humber River Regional Hospital in Toronto today. Dr. John Hagen is going to be my surgeon.

Had consultation at Barix Clinics.

Received call from Barix Clinics (Ypsilanti, MI).  Made an appointment for a consult on 09/19/05.

Attended Barix Clinics seminar in London, ON

Got a call from my Dr. I have an appointment with Dr. Hagen on Oct. 24/05.

Received questionnaire from Dr. Klein/Dr. Hagen's office. Filled it out and mailed it same day.

Got two referrals from my Dr. Sent one to Dr. Laz Klein (Toronto) and one to Dr. Nicolas Christou (Montreal).

Well the good news is I'm not pre-diabetic. The bad news is that I'm unable to get out of country surgery. I have called every bariatric surgeon I can find in Ontario and 1 in Quebec, to see if I can get a consultation. I have another appointment with my Dr. on 07/07/05 to get referrals.

Called my doctor's office to see what the result of my diabetes test was. The nurse said if there was something wrong the dr. would have called me. Then I asked here if they'd heard anything from OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan). Her exact words were, "They denied you. You're not obese enough." I was very angry and depressed. I have made an appointment to see my dr. on July 4/05 because they won't give me a copy of the letter from OHIP so that I can write an appeal letter.

My doctor sent me for bloodwork to see if I'm pre-diabetic.
