Like a majority of those here on this site, I've always been a "big girl". During the last 4 or five years though my weight has skyrocked to 400lbs. I've been lucky in that I don't have all the co-morbidities that goes with being super obese. I went to a seminar at Scottsdale Bariatric in October and got my initial appointment a few weeks later. It took me a month to get all the appointments and clearences completed but that is finally done. I got a call in mid December that I was approved and was given a April 10th 2007 date. I didn't have any difficulty with my insurance (UHC). So far everything has worked out smoother than I anticipated.
