I have been overweight as long as I can remember. When I was 13yrs old I was diagnosed with PCOS. After many years of struggling with my symptoms, I found a wonderful Reproductive Endocrinologist(Dr. Celia Dominguez) who was willing to work with me and get my PCOS under control, well needless to say it never really got under control. That brings me to my journey to have WLS. I have been researching WLS for about 4 years now. I am a Registered Nurse and really tried to get as much info as I could before I made my decision. When I turned 30 last year, I finally decided to have WLS. Alot of reserch that I found in the Meditteranian countries shows that RNY resolves all the problems that PCOS cause, so with careful consideration and info from my surgeon I am going to have RNY. I can't wait to start this life changing journey.
