It has been a long road.  I'm glad i have made it under 260 but i still have a long road ahead of me.  I feel like i'm losing my motivation to push myself.  I need to find support if any of you have and words of wisdom or inspiration please feel free to do so. 

I'M UNDER 300 NOW, I CHECKED THIS MORNING AND I"M AT 297!  wwwwooooooooo hhhhhhooooooooooooooo.  almost down 50 lbs.  I know i could have been farther along but life has been crazy the last 4 months.  I keep marching on, slowly but surely.  Until next time!

Ok, so most of the swelling of my stomach has gone down and I'm 1 week out post -op.  I have had really great supportive friends who have been awsome in letting me heal.  So I started walking yesterday and let me just tell you I walk while i was in the hospital but I walked 1 mile and a 1/4.  MAN, I sweated my booty off and began the kick start of my metabolism. OMG, so I have lost 8 lbs , I am so excited, it feels great to be on the losing side now. Til next time.......

Hi Everyone,

I had surgery yesterday everything went great and then pain isn't that bad thanks to the wonderful drugs i've been given.  I'll be home by saturday.  My pre-op weigh in was 340 which was great because i lost 5 lbs before.  I can't wait to see where this journey will lead me.  I'll keep you up-dated.

Well the end is near, or should I say the begging.  I have 2 days to go and the Butterlies are on overload.  I can't wait!  I have been cleaning house to make sure I have everything in it's place so when i come home I don't have to worry about house work. Plus I have to pack for myself, husband and son.  It's going to be a road trip but well worth the drive.  I can't wait, I know I have said that already but can you blame me!  I will keep you posted!

Happy Birthday to Me!!!   I turned 32 today and I'm 9 days away from my surgery date.  I can't wait it's going to be a re-birth.  I am so excited to have the opportunity to do this, it's going to save my life!  I'm counting down the days.....I can't wait.

OK, so I went in for my pre-op apoointment on Tuesday August 19, 2008.  Talked with the do and he let me know that I was going to have my GB removed and wanted to know if I wanted it removed before my WLS. I asked if he could do them both in the same day and he said yes.  So I gave the green light.  I have my surgery date set for Sept. 17, 2008 for  VSG just two weeks after my 32 birthday.  I'm SO EXCITED!!!!!!  I can't wait to be on the losing side of scale.  I need this so much, I don't want to be the fat mom who can't run after her son or go on rides when he gets older.  I won't do to myself or my family.  I'm going to breath new life in to this big body and make it small.  I have been so blessed to be able to have this surgery.  I know it won't be easy but it will be better than where I am now. LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!

I have one more pre-op appointment August 5.  Then I wait for the surgery date.  I can't wait!  I keep reading how everyone has second thoughts and believe me I am no different.  I can see the light at the end of the tunnel but getting there is was is the scary part.  This journey will be long and hard but I am willing to get throught it.

I went to my first pre-op appointment.  It was weird walking into the doctor's office the place was packed!  There were 47 people total waiting for the same thing I was "Salvation"!  We all sat quietly trying not to check each other out, but some couldn't resist the occasional (What are you having done?). All of us had the same look on our faces (deers caugh in the headlights) until we all relaxed a bit.  I went in and had all my vitals taken, then off to the another room to make the next appointment.  As we all sat waiting our turn it felt like we all had gotten the "golden ticket" and we were waiting for our name to be called for the grand prize.  Every person I meet had a great attitude.  We all had the chance to meet some of the doctors during or pre-op class.  The I had the wonderful pleasure of going to the support group after and meeting many post-op patients that didn't look the same as the before pictures and looked to be  doing so well.  I'm excited.  After all that I had gone to the rest room and while washing my hands I looked up at myself in the mirror and saw a glimps of the smaller version of myself.  It was mind blowing to see the person I wanted to be trapped in the big body.  She is waiting to come out and I can't wait to see her!
