Hi! My name is Lorraine. I am a happily married, mother of two boys. My son is 13months old and the joy of my life, and I also have a 6 year old step son., who keeps me running. I work full time as a registered nurse, and enjoy spending time with my family and traveling. I have been dealing with weight issues my entire life. I have always been plus size and after the birth of my son and the complications I had with my weight and blood pressure I decided it was finally time to make a change.I had tried every exercise and diet plan under the sun, sure I may have lost some weight here and there, but never enough, and it always came back. I did a lot of research on the web, and attended a seminar with Dr. Michael Snyder at Rose. After that seminar, I knew that the lapband was for me. It didnt take very long before I had my required consults done and my appointment with Dr. Snyder. Then I waited about 3 weeks and had my insurance approval. My surgery was scheduled for Thursday, June 12th.
