Gundersen Lutheran MC

"Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center is a teaching hospital. It has state of the art equipment and the staff is fantastic. We also have an excellent nursing college in town (Viterbo) so we get the cream of the crop at GLMC."

Matthew Baker

"Dr. Baker and his staff are very professional and truly want you to have the best and safest procedure possible. The bariatric team does an extensive workup on you to prepare you for surgery.rnrnLori was in the clinic and handled all my insurance needs. My insurance company complimented her on having done all the necessary testing needed for them before they even asked.rnrnChris Larsen is the Physicians Asst. (PA) and takes you through the realities of the surgery and does not sugar coat it. It is serious and just like any other surgery, can cause serious problems. rnrnEmily was my nutritionist or dietician. She is also very concerned with your attitude about food and I saw her for 6 months before surgery.rnrnWith the exception of Lori, all the above stopped by while I was in the hospital to wish me luck. Dr. Baker was in at least twice a day as was a team of residents. The nursing staff at Gundersen Lutheran were excellent, very caring and professional. rnrnI have an aftercare program set up with the clinic and am scheduled for an appt. in 3 weeks.rn"
