Well, this is the second go around for me seeking insurance approval and here it goes... it's all there for them to approve!! Please pray for me!!

Well, it's been quite a while since I have been on and worked on anything.  In March of this year, I started over on my journey!  I have had 3 straight appointments at this point and I have 3 to go.  I have lost 41 lbs. and 2 Fridays ago found out that I am diabetic.  So, I'm praying this works out for the best and I will be able to move forward and get approved this time.  Pray for me!  3 appointments to go!   

Well, I was denied because my six months of diet history wasn't consecutive.   I skipped a month in there somewhere and carried it into 7 months.  So, I have to start all over.  I am appealing and re-starting appointments with my PCP on the 28th of this month and I have an appointment scheduled every month for the next 6.  So, here goes!  Let's hope it works this time!!!!

Ok, here's the latest scoop.  They have received the paperwork and I have called everyday to check the status.  The GOOD NEWS is that they are in review now.  When I called yesterday I was a little nervous because they said they needed more information.  They wouldn't tell me what the information was because they can only release that to the Dr's office.  So I called Odalys at Dr Jawad's office and she called them.  She called me back to tell me that they needed 1.  Length of hospital stay and 2.  Name of provider.  I COULD BE AN AMATEUR BUT THIS SOUNDS LIKE GOOD NEWS TO ME!!!!!  They said they will have everything back from the review board Monday or Tuesday!!!!!!  I'll keep posting!

I called the insurance company again today to see if there was any info.  They claim they have not received the paperwork yet.  They say, now, that it would be logged into the system if it was there and it's not logged.  So I sent an email to the Dr's office to ask her to call and get the preauthorization.  Very annoyed today!

Hi all!  Just a brief update.  I talked to Cigna yesterday and the woman on the line informed me that nothing will show on their system until it's approved or denied.  So the statement that, "nothing was received" is inacurate, and I should check back a gain in a week.  I'll keep everyone posted.

I just called the insurance company just to verify that they have received everything and they claim they have nothing.  I was told that sometimes the Dr's office mail it to claims first and it needs to go to pre-cert., blah blah blah.  I know that Dr Jawad's office knows what to do because they do this all the time.  So, it just sounds like an unorganized mess.  I know if I call the Dr's office, they are going to tell me to relax, they just submitted it this week.  So I just to develop some patience.  Yes, I have no patience on this subject right now.  I'm ready to get in there!

I'm on the edge of my seat (partially because my ass does'nt fit the whole thing), but really because I am officially waiting for insurance to come through!!!!  I am going to call Cigna tomorrow and check the status!  Keep me in your prayers!  I'll post more later.
