I'm a 55 year old, retired woman who has struggled all my life with weight issues. I am currently dx with System Lupus, Osteoarthris, Acute Severe Fibromyalgia, and several pychiatric things like depression, panic attacks, etc. I've recently, over the past six months had a 20 lb. weight gain which puts me at my all time high of 290. I'm 5'4" so you can imagine what this does to my chronic health issues. I've been thinking about gastric surgery now for over a year and have become serious in the past six months. As a matter of fact, I had an appointment on 2-8-10 with Dr. Stickler in Charleston, WV, when I got a call the Friday before and was informed that he was no longer doing these surgeries and was referring all of his patients to Dr. Samuel Rossi. I've joined this site to hopefully find help, information and support. I look forward to sharing my experiences with anyone. Thank you for the opportunity.
