My story is pretty much like many others. MY weight has been up and down all my life. My low was 101 back when I was 18. I got pregnant at 25 and weighed 205 when I delivered my Daughter. I ended up losing my weight and was doown to 130. Then I had my Gallbladder out when I was thirty and within a year I gained to an all time high of 256. I was then diagnosed with diabetes. For the next few years my diabetes was out of control and I was becoming insulin resistance. My Dr suggested i look into wls so I went to a seminar and started the process to have the surgery. After my 6 month diet I was approved for surgery. I never went through with it because I felt I wasn't ready to make all the changes . So I decided to try to lose the weight on my own without very much success. At that time my health was going steadily downhill. At a visit with my Dr she again brought up having wls again. I really didn't have much choice so I went to the seminar and started the process all over again but this time with commitment . I was approved immediately . So on Oct 19 I had my RNY and now am so much happier. To date I have lost 50 lbs . I wish I would have done it the first time around and didn't wait so long.
