My journey began when I was little. I was never a child who was extremely over weight but I was I guess you could say thicker than most the children my age. Once I reached high school I started to really slim down. I had my daughter at the age of 15 and after having her I was at my lowest weight. That all changed after delivering my son at the age of 18. I slowly put more and more weight on since then. I had tried every diet just about known to man from B12 injections and pen pen pills to weight watchers and plan old portion control and exercise. Nothing every truly worked and even if I lost 40 lbs it would come right back the second I stopped. It was almost two years ago on my 30th birthday I had made up my mind and decided to really look into weight loss surgery. I debated back and forth and in December of 2012 I took my first steps and went to the seminar for Dr. Mark Kligman. I truly feel that was the day my new chapter began. I went through the six months of nutrition education and diet and exercise. During that six months I lost maybe 10 to 15 lbs. Finally in July I was given my surgery date. I lost 15 lbs two weeks prior to surgery on the liver shrinking diet. I went in the hospital at 8 am on Monday August 19, 2013. That is the day my life began.  If you have any questions I am an open book. Don't be afraid to ask.
