Ms Understood Won
Six months and two days!
May 31, 2011
And like Jennifer Hudson, I'm feeeeellingg gooooood!! lol Hello OH'ers. It's been a while since my last post but I thought I'd stop in and say hello (to anyone who cares ).
As the title says, I'm six months and two days out and down 93 lbs so far. I feel AWESOME. I had a little set back with an aircast (totally unrelated to the surgery- broke a bone in my foot), but I'm still moving along.
I'm having little tada moments all the time - like sitting comfortably in the chair at the movie theater, getting up off the couch and out of the car without nearly as much pain as before, and wait for it.... waaaiiitt for it... fitting into clothes in stores that DON'T have a plus size section. I've been walking around in denial for the past few months thinking I could still only shop where they sold at least a 2x or an 18 but I'm slowly but surely sliding into more larges, 16s and 14s. It's pretty awesome.
I haven't been this size in 11 years and boy does it feel crazy!
So far no problems and no regrets... I'm LOVING my results and the choice I made :)
Thanks for reading.

On the 12 Days of Surgery!
Nov 17, 2010
My surgeon gave to me - a LAPROSCOPIC DS SURGERYYYYY!
Ok, so it's truly the countdown now. I'm freaking out, then I'm calm, and I'm freaking out some more. I have plans to spend the weekend with friends and family - I plan to cook one of my favorite meals since this is my last weekend of eating before liquids start (I know I'll have it again, but it will be a while so I may as well enjoy now- grilled chicken & shrimp caesar... yum), sip on a little wine and enjoy life! I think this will be good for me - surrounding myself with crazy, funny, loving, and supportive people. That should definitely help settle my frazzled nerves. Oh well, off to the market I go!

Just a little over two months left!

So I have
two months and six days or
1592 hours or
95,520minutes
before showtime! I'm getting more nervous as the clock ticks down, but I'm trying to stay focused! I've started ordering vitamins, making lists for this and that, combing through recipes that I can use post op. This has become a second job! HOWEVER, after reading so many other people's success stories and seeing so many people achieve their goals, I get pumped full of positive energy and it makes me want the day to get here sooner.
I started this journey a little over a year ago and the closer I get to the surgery date, the more I am convinced that I'm doing what I need to do for a better me!
Peace
