Well, it has almost been five months since my gastric bypass and you wouldn't even know I have had it. I have had no complications. It makes sence to do what your told!! I have lost 86 lbs and I can't wait to lose more. Hope everyone is well!

Hey...I am sorry to say, my nephew passed away on September 23, 2007. My sister is a mess. I was there with her when he died, thank God. 

I have lost about 65lbs. I feel great! I had to have surgery again on October 5th, but it had nothing to do with the RNY. I had to have my ovary removed which was my last female organ. I am only 32! My surgeon put me on Premarin, but the hot flashes are terrible. Hopefully, it will kick in soon!

Hello everyone,  it has been eight weeks and I have lost almost 50 lbs. I feel great. I thought the weight loss would be quicker, but I can't argue with the scale. I can't complain! My nephew is still the same. He needs a liver transplant, but that can't happen until he is around six months old. I will keep you updated!

Well, I am doing great. I am down 36lbs, back to work, eating what I am supposed to, and having no problems. My nephew is now at CHOP (children's hospital of Phili) in critical condition. He is septic, in respiratory, renal, and hepatic failure. I have not seen my sister or nephew since the delivery. I cannot celebrate what has happened to me knowing that my new nephew is fighting for is life. His doctor said he is the sickest baby in their NICU. Please pray for them!

Well, I came home yesterday...and my week old nephew was flown out to a children's hospital because he stopped breathing on his own and now is in stable condition. My sister is a week post-op from a c-section and she really needs me. there is nothing I can do about it. I just feel so selfish right now. I can't be there for her like I should.

Well, it has finally happened. All of my info was sent to the insurance company June 28th and I got an approval on the 29th...can you believe it? I scheduled my surgery for July 30th which is perfect. I can't believe this is actually going to happen. My husband even asked what we needed to buy for food before the surgery, and he took vacation time for it. Not to bad for someone that didn't want me to do this!

Well, it seems like this is taking forever! I have done everything and all paperwork is in. The doctor's office was all ready to send in my paperwork and they called me...the dreaded call...they need 2 years worth of progress notes from my primary physician. They told me that my private insurance is the worst and they want all their ducks in a row. It just getting frustrated. Every test I have tells me I have more wrong. This will all be over soon I hope!!

Well...I has been a while since I have posted. I have jumped through every hoop asked of me and now it is a waiting game. I have gone to the 5,000 appointments, I had the tube down my throat, a psych eval from hell, phone calls, paperwork, faxes, bloodwork, bloodwork, and more bloodwork, and now I wait. I am just waiting for the doctor to write up a report for the psych eval and then everything will be sent to my insurance.  I just need to relax, I know!

Well, I have had my first visit with Dr. Cole. I can't wait until I have surgery. I have been dealing with my weight since I was 8 years old. Oh, by the way, My name is Cheryl. I am married and have four children. I am an RN at a local hospital and I am sick and tired of being overweight!
