Been a type II diabetic since 1989 and have started to become insulin resistent. Found a study with the Joslin Clinic and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and wanted to take part in it.
My goal is to be healthier. At 6 feet tall and 300 lbs no one believes I am obese by looking at me. The BMI numbers speak for themselves. I want to get to 17% body fat and believe that should come at around 220lbs. I want to live long enough to see my sons have their own children and to be able to share a long, healthy retirement with my wife who has been extremely supportive of me.
Now that I have reached 220 lbs my body fat is still not where I would like it. I think this weight loss ride will eventually reach 190 lbs. There is a lot I would change about my body like wishing I was 21 again!
