Why DS?

You will never see a DS'er say "I should have chose Lap-Band"

You will never see a DS'er say "I should have had an RNY"

What you WILL see is countless Lap-Banders & RNY'ers say "I wish I had a DS".

Check out the  failed surgery &  revision boards.

Yes,  a few Lap-Banders have made it goal & a few will even stay there. But what about the rest? How long before the regain? If diet & exercise didn't work for you the first few times around, what makes you think it's going to work now?

I don't feel I should be punished for having the audacity to eat something. Isn't this the whole point of RNY? I don't even want to get into the lack of a pyloric valve, blind stomach, no NSAIDs, etc., etc.

Add on top of all of that a 30% failure rate that gets even higher when you're SMO.

Think twice, cut once.
