Hi my name is Dani and this is goin to be the start of MY STORY i am goin to keep this up to date with every little thing i go throuht with my gastric bypass experience and hopefully my story will help someone else make there decision on if they want to go through with it or not i am goin to leave nothing out so if it get gross or a little i dont know the word for it i appalagize now but i jus dont want anything left out :)
well i am starting this journal on 8-26-2012
i have already seen my primary doctor and got his referral to get this process started i went in for an appointment originally for my ankles cause they were very swallen and always retaining water so it hurt all the time makes it very hard to walk and it makes it worse cause my bathroom is upstairs i live in a townhome but he wanted to talk to me about the gastric bypass and recommended that i really consider it so i went home and talked to my boyfriend about it cause i started the process before but wasnt goin to do it unless i had his support and at first he was scared for me cause i wasnt really that much he doesnt like surgeries at all but the more i explained to him the more he understood on why i wanted to do it and this time he is on board with it. he doesnt get to go with on appointments tho cause he has to stay home with our son.
i have my information meeting on 8-28-2012 so i will be updating this again with some stuff i learned there

Sorry a little late on the update :)
the information seminar was great learned alot and even got an exercise too lol cause it was in a different place from the last time i went it as like a block n a half next to hospital it was in last time which was fine i needed the extra exercise lol but they are very nice people and i am looking forward to work with them more and i also got to walk back to the hospital cause my best friend was having her baby there i got to see her which made my day i was to early but couldnt stay long so that sucked but there were some nice people at the seminar that asked alot of good questions but we also got to meet to of the surgeons that work there and 5 other people that already had the surgery some were like 4 yrs after and i do hope one day i get to be one of them people standing in from of a room telling my story and hopfully change someones life for the better. but when i left i got to schedule my next appointment with the nurse and got an information folder to take home with i believe like 14 pages of questions i finished it already but have to have it for the appointment i have to make a copy of it first it tells ya to do that so still have to do that part lol but so many things are moving forward in my life right now i jus hope this flies by but after my next appointment on the 5th of sept i will update this again and yes hopfully on time next time for ya lmao sorry again about that .

ok sorry it has taken me so long to update i have been kinda busy with everything that is goin on with this process and other things as well my 7 yr old is in school again 1st grade so proud but i said i would update on what happened with my nurse appointment well i got picked up by a volennter driver and he was really cool but i thought the nurse appointment was at the same place as the info seminar well i was wrong it was a building connected to the hospital next to the place where the info seminar was so like the info seminar appointment i had where i had to walk from that hospital to the seminar building i had to walk from the seminar building to the hospical area and a little farther lol and i even got lost on the walk but i did call them to let them know i will be late and everything that happened and they understood but that did cut my appointment with my nurse short cause they do have other people they had to see that day to but the we went through what we could of my medical history form we got more done then i thought we would but still have more to go through but we had to end it short without being able to go through it all with that appoinment but i got to schedule 3 more appoinment for oct 2nd i get to meet my surgoen first then the dieticain and then i get to have another appointment with the nurse to finish what we didnt get to go through and talk about some more but the appointment with the surgeon is first cause she will decide if i need to see the phyciatist before the dietsion i hope not cause i would like to keep my appointment the way they are right now lol but that is goin to be one busy day and the nurse wanted me to do a sleep study at my local hospital so i have that scheduled for oct 1st i get to go in at 9pm and sleep there well they watch me and have me hooked up to monitors and stuff but they say i will be able to move around in my sleep if i need to but i jus dont know how easy it will be to sleep in a hospital lol but i will try but then i get to leave the hospital around 7am then go straight to my appoinments for oct 2nd so that is goin to be a busy beginning of the month lol but i also get to schedule a dentist appointment too i havent been to a dentist since i was a young kid lol so this will be fun i still have to make that appointment tho but that is pretty much it so far so i will update after those are all done and hopefully it wont take me as long to update that for ya's lol wish me luck
