The Beginning

THIS IS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING COMPLETED.....


I guess better late than never...I am just starting my blog now after almost 5 months out from RNY on 1/4/10.

I really struggled at first.  Of course it started in the hospital.  I was only supposed to be in there for 3-4 days and ended up being in for 8 days!  It was horrible.  Somehow my meds got messed up so on top of the surgery itself and coming back from that, I was having withdrawals from some of my meds that made me VERY sick.  At first they didnt even know what was wrong.  I wasn't even able to get up and walk like I was supposed to because I was so sick , nauseous and dizzy that I couldn't even stand up.  I think that was the start to a rough 6 weeks. 

When I went home, I was either in bed, in my recliner or on my couch all the time.  Thank goodness my Mom was there everyday while my husband was at work to help me, because I never could've done it on my own.  I never would've eaten anything.  I could barely stand up to make anything in the kitchen.  I got so lightheaded I always felt like I was going to fall down.  Same thing when I wanted to wash up or take a shower.  I almost passed out in the shower.  Scared me a bit!
