Well, I got my insurance approval. That's a relief! I just went through all of my pre-op testing (blood work, ultra-sound, chest x-ray, upper GI, pulmonary testing, treadmill EKG). Pretty extensive, but it's nice to know they are thorough. Found some gallstones, so I guess I'll be getting that out too! Wasn't able to complete the treadmill EKG. Once they started the incline, my legs gave out. So I have to go back for a different type of test where they put medicine in my vein to make my heart race, and then they do the EKG. Oh joy! Sounds like fun...not! Anyway, I'm basically in a waiting mode for a month. This is very difficult. I'd love to hear from anyone who is reading this and has any suggestions! I have too much time on my hands to worry, second-guess myself, etc. I just want it to be over.
