Post Op complications
Feb 28, 2011
Well, its been a pretty typical recovery period for me up until last night. 7days post op and I am having some weird pains in the stomach area, it was so weird because last night I hiccuped while bushing my teeth. It hurt, but I went to bed fine untill 3am, then I woke up with so much pain, gas, burping. Its just weird. I called the surgeons office and I am going in to be checked out in a couple of hours. I hope nothing is wrong! I am very raw remembering surgery from last week, I dont want to have to go back in! So im praying its just irratation and some gas.

Waiting for D-Day
Feb 20, 2011
I am anxiously waiting for my surgery tomorrow. I am a mix of excitement and fear. I have wanted to do this surgery for over 2 years and now insurance allows me to do it. I am scared of the actual surgery part though. I have had 3 c-sections in my life and remember the pain, which is why I am a bit nervous. I am not a fan of anithesia either, but oh well I will get through it! My mother is up here to help me out this first week and take care of my kids, so that will help me out alot! I am a very busy mom of three kiddos, ages 12,10, and 3. So they will definitely motivate me to get up and move after surgery!
I find it so funny that when I started this liquid diet I couldnt imagine only having 5 shakes a day, I thought I would be starving. Now I understand why they say you have to have 5 a day, I can hardly finish them and this is day 6, I have not even had surgery yet. I can't imagine this part gets any easier, but I am up for the challenge.
