Surgery went well

I had my surgery on June 6th. I had open gastric bypass. The surgeon had to cut me longer then expected. he detected a hernia around my naval. He took it out. I felt like such a wimp having to push the pain button a lot. But my nurse Tim was awesome. I was telling him how I felt and he said whoever says you are a wimp didn't just have their stomach cut open like that. Feel like I was gutted like a fish but it was worth it. Even though I am only a few days out I know I made the right decision. In the hospital I didn't have any nausea at all. the drs said that was very rare. I am slowly increasing the amount of protein I can take in. I am still not sleeping well. I just cant get comfortable. But I know this is only temporary. Im just glad to be home and alive.
