so, i've always been a heavy person.  i was never popular in school and was always made fun of for my weight.  i've tried weight watchers and the atkins diet, cutting down on certain foods....  nothing ever sticks.  i developed diabetes type 2 and poly-cystic ovaries, plus i have a really bad back.  in 2006 i attended an informational seminar about bariatric surgery, and it sounded scary so i decided to give myself a year to lose weight and if it didn't work, then i'd look into it further.

obviously i didn't lose the weight.  so i contacted my physician and got an appt at cmmc.  they are awesome!  so helpful and informative.  they care about each and every person they deal with and they want you to succeed.  you aren't just a nameless face and a paycheck to them.  dr. loggins rocks:)  he's so friendly and took the time to answer my questions and helped my choose the right surgery for me.

the nutrtionist, corinne, is amazing.  she helps you fine-tune your eating habits and excersize to get ready for the journey ahead.  that's so important!  i attend the support group meetings too, and i've met some really cool people who have given me insight into the surgery and the life i'll have afterwords.

i'm really excited about my surgery dat; july 7th, and i hope everything goes well!

later gator!
