Deb's Journey to a New Life!!

Hi Everyone, My name is Debbie Tracy and I'm from Lancaster, OH. I turned 50 in April and have been concerned about my weight all of my life. When I was born I weighed over 10 lbs. and when I was first weighed at Dr. Curry's office I weighed in at a whopping 325.5 lbs. Dr. Curry is my surgeon out of Cincinnati, OH. The first time I met the Doc and his staff I couldn't believe how nice and friendly they were. They really made my husband and I feel like a part of their family and we loved it. My husband Roy and I are over the road truck drivers for a company out of IA. So you can imagine how hard it is to lose weight when your in the truck for 3-4 weeks at a time. We cook our food at home for a week then we stop at a Walmart to replenish what we've ate.  Roy has been a part of this journey from the start. We started discussing my weight and what I was going to do about it and we decided to check out surgery. I decided on the lap band. Met with the Doc and dietitian and they wanted me to go on the Medifast diet for 4 weeks. My BMI was 54 and he wanted it down to 50, so that meant I had to lose 25 lbs.
