North Fulton Regional Hospital

"There were some great nurses and techs and there were a few that weren't. They didn't follow any schedule in getting me walking. I felt like it was my job to ask for everything. Good thing I wasn't really ill or it could have been difficult in getting help. One night I called for someone to "unplug" my leg cuffs so I could use the bathroom. The tech came in, unplugged the cuffs, turned out the light, closed the door and left. She didn't unplug my IV thingy or even make sure I could get to the bathroom, she just left me in the dark. My meds weren't the right doses so I had to ask them to correct them. They were responsive in giving me pain and nausea meds when I asked for them. "

Paul E. Macik

"Dr Macik is an awesome surgeon. I have had NO problems since surgery. My experience after surgery was pretty uneventful. Dr M is a little dry in his approach but he's approachable and will answer any and all questions you ask him. His office staff is great, his nurse is always available to ask questions of and his office admin, Tiffany, gets the job done when submitting the paperwork. Make sure you know what your insurance company will require before approving WLS, mine required a 6 month documented diet and Dr M's office staff didn't know that. I found out when I was not given an approval. So do your own Insurance Company research and know what YOUR company requires."
