Oct. 27th was my last 6 mos. visit for supervised visit to my pcp. So I called the surgeons office to let them know that my pcp will be faxing paperwork over to them. They received my last 3 mos. supervised visits but didn't receive my referral.

Ok, I called the pcp office and they said they faxed my referral off and then I called the surgeons office and they stated they haven't received any fax.




WHAT DO I DO NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have one more supervised visit and i will be getting for the process of weight lost surgery. yayyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111

MY INSURANCE REQUIRES ME TO LOSE 10% OF MY BODY WEIGHT. SO I NEED TO LOSE 36LBS. THE PROBLEM IS THAT I DONT KNOW WERE TO START. I NEED SUGGESTIONS .

Yesterday I went to my first visit to the wl dr. I turned in all my paperwork except 4 documents. Then I found out that this dr. only does the lap band. I dont want the lap i want the rny proceure. So to day i went to another doctor and she stated that their office doesn't except my insurance, but a office in Nashcille does. I THANK GOD FOR THIS LADY CO I WILL TRAVEL FOR THIS PROCEDURE.

OK SO I WENT TO THE NEW PCP AND SHE WANTS ME TO START DOING MY WEIGH INS ALL OVER AGAIN. FIRST OF ALL I DONT THINK SO, COS IM GOING BACK TO MY OLD PCP THAT DOESNT MIND FEELING OUT THE PAPERWORK AND SOMEONE THAT HAS MY BEST INTERSEST AT HEART. PLUS MY OLD DOCTOR ALREADY HAS MY WEIGH INS ALL SHE HAS TO DO IS FEEL OUT THE PAPERS THATS WHY I LOVE DR. BRASFIELD.

OK the last time i wrote I got my new insurance card to the weight loss clinic. I talked to the insurance coordinator and she stated she received my fax and they were going to contact me by Friday. Today is Friday and I didn't receive a phone call so I'm calling them Monday morning. Then on top of that my current PCP doesn't take my insurance so I have to get my medical records and take them to another doctor.The only thing about that is I have to have a referral for the sleep apnea and to the weight loss clinic but I'm going to do it cos I'm a strong person. JUST PRAY FRO ME

TODAY I GOT MY NEW INSURACE CARD AND CALLED THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND THEY STAYED THAT I'M COVERED FOR WLS

OK SO MY PCP TOLD ME EARLIER THIS YEAR I HAVE TYPE 2 DIABETES AND I BEEN TAKING MY AS PRESCRIBED AND SHE WANTS ME TO HAVE THE WLS. I WAS SO HAPPY SHE STATED THAT. SO THE NEXT MONTH I WENT SHE TOLD ME THAT I GAINED WEIGHT AND SHE GOT ON MY ASS. I REALLY DIDN'T THINK I HAND GAINED BUT I DID. THE DISAPPOINTING NEWS IS THAT I HAVE 2 PILLS INSTEAD OF ONE EVERY DAY. AND I'M CURRENTLY WAITING ON APPROVAL FROM MEDICARE TO GET HEALTH INSURANCE COS PAYING OUT YOUR POCKET IS VERY EXPENSE, PLEEASSSSSSSSSSEEEE PRAY I GET THE INSURANCE.

I went to my PCP to today and she recommended that  I have the surgery. What really motivated me was that when the Dr. said the only reason yoou alive is because of GOD. I am going to get the surgery. That moment was bitter sweet cause I dont want to die because of obesity that has been torturing my family and I for over 50 years.

 TOMORROW I GO TO MY PCP TO REQUEST THAT SHE APPROVE ME THE WLS. I HOPE EVERY THING GOES AS PLAN.
