IM HOME!

All went well with surgery but I cant say I had a good stay at hospital so I was glad to get home to say the least.
I didtn think it was so bad when I first woke up and I got to have some ice chips but as the day went on and I needed my pain meds or more ice chips it was like pulling teeth to get the nurses to answer me or come back to my room with the ice chips.
It seemed like when ever they left to get them for me they NEVER CAME BACK! Guess they just forgot about me. how nice.
and this went on a few times so needless to say I cant wait to get the survey back they send you in the mail.
Well, Im 6 days post-op and all I can really say is IM HUNGRY, HUNGRY, HUNGRY! Im so sick of BROTH its not funny. Just the smell of it makes me sick and I can tell you after this week I will never eat broth or Jello again in my life. Im having no problem getting the broth, jello or ice pops down but for some reason when I drink my water it hurts. I see Dr Bo Jan 25 so Im hoping he can give me some answers to this. Maybe it will just stop after awhile.
Well I better go have some of that wonderful broth for breakfast so I can keep my strength up. Till next time :)

Wel,l Im finally approved for RNY surgery
I got the call on Dec 22 and it was the best call I could have ever recieved, since Dec 23 is my birthday and I was so excited! I never thought this day would come.
I have so many people on OH that have supported me for so long and I want to thank each and everyone of you. YOU ARE THE BEST! I couldnt have done it with out you. You let me know never to give up and you all give me the greatest advice.
Well, January 16 is the big day! Not only is it going to be a great New Year for me but a new start in my life. I feel like Im getting a second chance and being born again into this new life of being a healthy human being. Thank you everyone for all your support. I will let you know how Im doing.
Time is coming fast and I have 12 days left before the big day!! Im anxious but also nervous which everyone tells me is normal so I shouldnt let it get to me. Just cant wait to do THIS! Im going to be a new person in the New Year!! and a healthy one at that. Well thanks to all my friends on OH!

Well, today is the 14th yikes I cant believe how fast the days are going by and my big day is this Tuesday the 16.
Im really really getting nervous now and I had to run out to the store and get all my clear liquids for when Im home from the hospital. Sure hope I can get use to this but Im excited about starting a new healthy life style and being able to do all the things I cant do now with my family. Its going to be a great journey for me and Im going to be positive in all things. Thank you Lord for being there for me through all the hard times trying to get this surgery and now that my day is almost here I know you will be too. God is so GOOD to me!
