"Dr. Westerdahl has been working with me on my obesity issues for many years. She actually suggested the surgery several years ago. Of course I didn't want to hear about it then. But every once in awhile she would bring up "options" with surgery being one. When I was finally ready to discuss she was extremely supportive. Dr. Westerdahl is one of the very Doctors I have ever had over the years. She is through and is concerned with each patients needs and wants."
"I would strongly recomend someone who is looking. This hospital is working on developing a world class Bariatric center and they a very close to achieving it. The nurse manager at Methodist is also a WLS person and knows exactly how to set things up for WLS patients. She even spoke to my husband about what else they could do to help the family etc...

"I meet Dr Svendsen for the first time February 19. Great personality and VERY honest. Doesn't sugar coat anything. Really wants you to understand what the surgery is, the risks, the advantages etc. The whole educational process at this clinic is been great. Taking it all is the key!
My nurse is Barb and she it fantastic. Upfront, honest and really cares about the patients. It helps that she had the surgery done last year!
So far all my experiences have been great. The staff is friendly, curtious and really seems to care.
I will need to have two doctors during my surgery which is comforting.
So far I have no negatives. My surgery is scheduled for July. This was my choice due to commitments. Could have surgery as early as April 14, 2003."
